Kansas Golf Foundation Kansas Golf Hall of Fame - 2004
“Charlie Pro”, as he is affectionately known by his friends, served as Head Professional of Prairie Dunes Country Club for thirty-one years before his retirement in 2003. Craig served as the host professional for five United States Golf Association national championships, including the 2002 United States Women’s Open, and the International Match for the Curtis Cup. Under his watch Prairie Dunes also hosted numerous championships conducted by the Kansas Golf Association, the Trans-Mississippi Golf Association, the Big Eight, Big XII, and the NCAA.
Contributor to the Game
In 1973 Marge Page organized the Wichita Junior Golf Foundation to give low-income children an opportunity to learn the game of golf. She donated or raised the money to pay for green fees, lessons and equipment for the 10–17 year old golfers, and arranged for them to play and take lessons at public courses on eight Mondays over the summer. Three decades later, the Wichita Junior Golf Foundation serves as many as 900 youngsters each year.
Mrs. Page passed away in August 2012 at the age of 90.
